Statutory schooling starts in the year a child is five. Southwark manage the application process. Parents should contact the local authority for guidance and details of how to apply. Reception places must be applied for directly from Southwark, even if your child attends our Nursery. Please click on the link below to find out about primary admissions for Southwark schools.

The decision to offer a place in Nursery will be made considering the following factors.

  • The stage of development of the child

Admission to the Nursery does not guarantee admission to the Reception Class.

Mid-Year Admissions

Parents can apply directly to Camelot for mid-year school starts in any age group.

If we have  place in your child’s year group we will offer a place and agree a convenient start date. If we do not have a place we will place your child’s name on a waiting list. Priority in the waiting list will be determined by the same criteria as for reception places.
